The red carpets of the 54th New York Film Festival at Film Society of Lincoln Center will draw hordes of filmmakers and movie stars to NYC September 30 – October 16, 2016.
About the New York Film Festival
Film Society of Lincoln Center has produced the Festival (NYFF) since 1963.
Spanish/Puerto Rican-New Yorker Richard Peña programmed the festival from 1988-2012. He gave the Festival and Film Society a little Latin flavor.
The Festival has a slight European bias. It is no longer NYC’s biggest film festival, but plays an important role in the film festival calendar which builds into the Oscars in February.
The Festival is currently programmed by Kent Jones.
