2020 Season Highlights
After a long period of uncertainty with the COVID-19 Coronavirus epidemic, the Major League Baseball season starts with a few changes, like no spectators and no spitting.

July 24-26, 2020, Friday-Sunday ~ The Mets Home Opener is with arch rivals the Braves on ESPN Friday at 4:10pm. That opens a 3-game stand through Sunday. Designated hitter Yoenis Cespedes and the Mets both returned to the game. On Luis Rojas’ first game as Mets manager, Cespedes homered in the seventh to make it 1-0.
July 31 – August 2, 2020, Friday-Monday ~ The Mets play a four-game stand at arch rivals the Braves (7:10pm, 7:10pm, 1:10pm, 7:10pm).
August 2, 2020 ~ Cuban slugger Yoenis Cespedes walked out of the 2020 MLB Season because he is concerned about COVID-19 safety.
August 4-5, Tuesday-Wednesday ~ The Mets are at 2019 MLB Champions the Washington Nationals (7:05pm, 6:05pm).
August 10-13, Monday-Thursday ~ The Mets play 2019 MLB Champions the Washington Nationals (7:10pm, 7:10pm, 7:10pm, 1:10pm).

A 60-Game Schedule
June 1, 2020 ~ Major League Baseball has announced a 60-game schedule with a normal playoff cycle. Games will be played without fans. They are expected to begin on July 23rd or 24th.
The COVID-19 situation is fragile and fluid. Don’t be disappointed if the season changes.

2019 Season Recap
The Mets were 86-77 in 2019. We finished three games behind the wild card spot. Our division rivals, the Washington Nationals won the World Series. Pitcher Jacob deGrom #48 made the Major League Baseball All-Star team.
