In 2024, the Red Bulls qualified for the playoffs where they beat NYCFC in the Eastern Conference Semifinal, and Orlando City SC for the Eastern Conference Title. They lost the MLS Cup Final to the LA Galaxy.
The New York Red Bulls were founded in 1994 as the New York/New Jersey MetroStars. They rebranded as the New York Red Bulls in 2006. They were New York City’s only Major League Soccer team until 2013.
The Red Bulls reached the MLS Cup Final in 2008, and won the regular season Supporter’s Shield in 2013, 2015 and 2018. The team reached the U.S. Open Cup final in 2003 and 2017.
