2019 American League Championship Series

It’s the Yankees vs Houston Astros in the best of seven American League Championship Series (ALCS).

The Yankees and Astros are the two strongest teams in the American League. This is a rematch of the 2017 ALCS.

Games are broadcast on Fox (5).

Saturday, October 12 ~ Game 1 in Houston, Yankees 7-0 (Yankees 1-0 Astros)

Sunday, October 13 ~ Game 2 in Houston, Astros 2-3 (Yankees 1-1 Astros)

Tuesday, October 15 ~ Game 3 at Yankee Stadium, Astros 1-4 (Yankees 1-2 Astros)

Wednesday, October 16 ~ Game 4 at Yankee Stadium at 8:08pm. Rained out on Wednesday, so the schedule shifted one day to Thursday, October 17. Astros 8-3.

Houston leads the series 3-1. Yanks have to sweep the next three games to win.

Thursday, October 17 ~ Game 5 at Yankee Stadium at 8:08pm

Rescheduled to Friday, October 18 because of Wednesday’s rainout.

Saturday, October 19 ~ Game 6 in Houston. That’s it. Houston wins the Division Championship 6-4.

Mariano Rivera Hall of Fame Celebration

Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 1:05pm ~ At the Yankees vs Cleveland Indians game, the Yankees celebrate Panamanian-American pitcher Mariano Rivera’s induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Rivera was inducted this year, his first year of eligibility.

The game promotion is a Mariano Rivera Hall of Fame Replica Plaque.

“Mo” was the Yank’s closer for most of his career. He holds the Major League record for saves and games finished. “Sandman” was a five-time World Champion and thirteen-time All-Star.

Rivera was born in Panama City, Panama in 1969.
