NYC Pride Builds to a Climax at the NYC Pride Parade

NYC Pride 2023 is a series of Pride events in June, that climax with the NYC Pride Parade (Pride March), PrideFest street fair, and Pride Island music festival.

June is NYC Pride Month because of the Stonewall Riots of June 28, 1969 which energized the Pride Movement.

These are the official Pride events:

The Rally

The Pride Rally of protest and activism is hosted by community organizer Jordyn Jay and Milan Garçon (HBO’s “Legendary” voguing competition); outside the NYC Pride offices at 154 Christopher St in the West Village; on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 4:30pm. 🏳️‍🌈

The Brunch

The Pride Brunch culinary brunch and networking experience has Black LGBTQ+ chefs telling Juneteenth food stories; in the Altman Building in Chelsea, Manhattan; on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at 11:30am. From $50. 🏳️‍🌈

Youth Pride

The Youth Pride, young people’s street fair; features performances by Snookie Lanore, Amorphous, Devan Ibizia, Blue Man Group and more; at Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn; on Friday, June 24, 2023 at 12pm. 🇺🇸 🇵🇷 🏳️‍🌈

Teaze

Teaze, NYC Pride’s BIPOC diversity dance party is at Club Lambda BK in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn; on Friday, June 24, 2023 at 2pm. 🏳️‍🌈

Bliss Days

Bliss Days, NYC Pride’s Womxn’s dance party is at The DL rooftop night club in the Lower East Side, on Saturday, June 25, 2023 at 2pm. 🏳️‍🌈

Pride Parade

The NYC Pride Parade (NYC Pride March), co-hosted by Angelica Ross; marches from Madison Square Park through the Flatiron District, Chelsea, Greenwich Village, and the West Village; on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 11am. 🏳️‍🌈

  • START at northwest corner of Madison Square Park
  • Down Fifth Avenue
  • Across 8th St
  • Up Greenwich Ave
  • Down Christopher St
  • Up Seventh Avenue

Angelica Ross co-hosts the NYC Pride March broadcast special on ABC-7 and abc7ny.com on Sunday, June 25, 2023; from 12-3pm. 🏳️‍🌈

2023 NYC Pride Parade Grand Marshals

Billy Porter is a Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award winning singer and actor.

Yasmin Benoit is a British activist and model.

AC Dumlao is an LGBTQ+ sports advocate.

Hope Giselle is an author and advocate for inclusion and social justice.

Randolfe “Randy” Wicker is an LGBTQ+ and civil rights pioneer.

PrideFest

PrideFest, the NYC Pride street fair, is on 4th Avenue (between 8th & 13th St) in Greenwich Village; on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 11am. 🏳️‍🌈

Pride Island

Ecuadorian American singer Christina Aguilera headlines Pride Island; the NYC Pride music festival; at Brooklyn Army Terminal in Sunset Park, Brooklyn; on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 2pm. 🇪🇨 🏳️‍🌈

Guy Scheiman (Tel Aviv), Karina Kay, and Mor Avrahmi (Tel Aviv) spin the night. 🇮🇱 🏳️‍🌈
