Eclectic Brooklyn

The club is named after Marché Barbès, the famous Saturday morning food market under the Metro in the 18th arrondissement of Paris that is popular with African French and Arab French shoppers. It was the last neighborhood of Paris to gentrify.

The club is the original home of psychedelic cumbia band Chicha Libre. Chicha is Peruvian corn beer, often homemade. It’s a funky old bar, but it’s really cool. Vive la France!

See you at Barbès Brooklyn!
