Nadal won the first set 6-3. Ferrer was leading the second set 3-4 when he retired due to calf issues.


Nadal’s First Grand Slam

Nadal turned pro in 2001 when he was 15.

His first grand slam was the 2005 Australian Open.

Since turning pro, Nadal has won 17 Grand Slam singles titles, 33 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles, 20 ATP World Tour 500 titles, and an Olympic gold medal in singles. Wow!

He is currently #1 in the ATP Rankings.
