El Clásico

Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona is “El Clásíco,” the world’s most popular club soccer match and one of the world’s most watched sporting events.

There are two El Clásicos every year, one in Barcelona and one in Madrid. While El Clásico used to refer to La Liga matches only, it is now used for any match between them. The two teams also meet regularly in UEFA Champions League matches.
