Salsa Con Fuego is a Latin restaurant and lounge with a dance floor in Fordham Manor, the West Bronx. Dominican merengueros and bachateros play there. Really! We’re in La República Dominicana and the artists we want to see are all playing up in The Bronx. Big Latin music stars occasionally show up. It’s that kind of place.

He’s a great DJ, but we hate it when he’s in our town (Santiago de los Caballeros) because he leads a big loud train of cars making lots of noise up and down the avenues late into the night. You can’t sleep until he is gone.

About Salsa Con Fuego
It’s part of the Don Coqui Puerto Rican restaurant group, but more Pan-Latin than Don Coqui’s upscale Puerto Rican fare.
We are not sure if they had this in mind, but celebrating birthdays with sparklers (fuegos artificiales) is a Dominican tradition. Friday nights is the big night, but in the Dominican Republic, Sunday nights are the big party night out.
