Soulfrito Fest 2018 Reggaeton and Latin Trap on Puerto Rican weekend

Soulfrito Fest, or the Soulfrito Urban Latin Music Festival, is a concert of urban rappers and Latin trap reggaetoneros. It started in Miami in 2002.

The show’s name is a play on sofrito, a popular sauce used in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Latin American cooking. In New York, we use sofrito to make Puerto Rican food. You can get it in a jar from Goya. As a matter of fact, I just had sofrito on my eggs for breakfast. Que rico!

Maybe the show’s name means Black and Latin which is who we are.
