New York City’s Latin parade traditions grew out of military parades, Caribbean Carnival and New Orleans funeral processions.
Fifth Avenue and lower Broadway are among the world’s most famous parade locations. The National Puerto Rican Day Parade is the biggest cultural celebration in the United States.

NYC’s Hispanic Day Parade marches up Fifth Avenue past Bergdorf Goodman at 57th St.
In Manhattan, parades also march on Sixth Avenue, Madison Avenue and Central Park West.
