New York Latin Baseball

New York Latin Baseball has major and minor league teams. The majors get most of the news, but minor league games are really fun. They remind you of how baseball used to be.

The New York Yankees play Major League Baseball at Yankee Stadium in Concourse, The Bronx. The New York Mets play Major League Baseball at Citi Field in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The regular season usually runs from late March to early October.

The Brooklyn Cyclones play High-A East Minor League Baseball at Maimonides Park in Coney Island. A new team, the Staten Island Ferry Hawks is setting up to play at Richmond County Bank Ballpark in St. George.

Baseball seems to have originated in England, but the modern game of American baseball developed in New York City. Stickball, a street form of baseball, remains popular in Caribbean communities.

NYC Baseball Teams

We are blessed with both Major and Minor league baseball.

NYC’s Major League Baseball teams:

  • New York Yankees play at Yankee Stadium in Concourse, The Bronx
  • New York Mets play at Citi Field in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens

There are several Minor League Baseball teams in the region, but only one in New York City right now. The Staten Island Yankees shut down, though the Yankees say they will place another team in Richmond.

  • Brooklyn Cyclones play High A baseball at MCU Park in Coney Island (Mets Affiliate).

Baseball is coming back to Staten Island, but the details haven’t been finalized yet.
