Greenwich Village

Greenwich Village is a bohemian neighborhood, with a beatnik past, that is filled with students from New York University (NYU). It is one of Manhattan’s liveliest neighborhoods. The small streets are filled with restaurants, bars and boutiques. As the home of New York University (NYU), The Village is full of students.

Houston St

Washington Square Park is the heart of Greenwich Village. It’s always been a place to buy cannabis. Now that cannabis is legal, there are some interesting street vendors in the park.

MacDougal St and Bleecker St are great walking streets.

Sub-neighborhoods include the West Village and Meatpacking District east of Sixth Avenue.
