Jennifer Lopez is a New York Puerto Rican actress and pop superstar from the Bronx who started out as a dancer. She was born in Castle Hill, The Bronx on July 24, 1969.
As a Latina actress, Lopez has broken barriers throughout her career. She has the Midas touch with success in film, television and music. Part of Jennifer’s appeal is that she came up from nothing. That inspires a lot of people.
One of things we have noticed lately is that Lopez is getting the call when America needs to bring people together. When the NFL is in trouble, they call Lopez to perform at the Super Bowl.

Some critics said the show was too sexy. Those people probably aren’t getting any. They are just jealous.

July 2016 ~ Lopez launched the dance competition series which she both produces and judges.
El Cantante
September 2007 ~ Lopez and her then-husband Marc Anthony told the story of Hector Lavoe “El Cantante,” the most beloved Puerto Rican salsa singer.
The movie, which tells the story from the point of view of Lavoe’s wife Puchi, didn’t do well financially, but it does provide a look inside the life of a legendary singer who is still a Puerto Rican favorite.
Lopez continued making movies and records, and became a judge on American Idol. She continues to work the talent show circuit.
J.Lo, The Wedding Planner, Maid in Manhattan and Jenny from the Block
January 26, 2001 ~ Jennifer started playing up her sex symbol image. Her second album J.Lo debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. At the same time she had a #1 movie with Matthew McConaughey in The Wedding Planner.
This was the peak time in J.Lo’s career. While continuing to star in movies, she launched a clothing line, opened a restaurant and launched a fragrance. J.Lo remixes topped the charts. Her third album This is Me…Then did well.

Jennifer’s was a dancer in the 1990s television show In Living Color. The show’s choreographer was Bronx Puerto Rican dancer and actress Rosie Perez.

Jennifer Lynn Lopez was born to Puerto Rican parents in Castle Hill, The Bronx on July 24, 1969. Like a lot of kids, she grew up putting on singing and dancing shows at home with her family.
