NYC Dance Week is at nycdanceweek.org, June 10-20, 2021. It’s the 10th Anniversary of this annual festival of ten days of free dance, fitness and wellness classes in New York City.

This is just the thing we need to brush off the Covid cobwebs and get moving again. If you never danced, try it. It’s easy. It’s fun. It’s good for your body and your mind. It’s a great way to be with people and meet people. It doesn’t matter whether you know how to dance or not. All you need to do is smile!

This year there are international virtual performances, dancer profiles, free classes, special events, and a global flash mob. There are bachata, ballet, flamenco, hip-hop, jazz, salsa, tango and more classes. Some are free, some are discounted. 🇧🇷🇨🇺🇩🇴🇫🇷🇮🇹🇮🇳🇲🇽🇵🇷

One of the cool events is Funkar showcases of emerging dance companies. It’s produced by Pooja Uberoi, the Queen of Bollywood Dance (she really is). nycdanceweek.org

The closing event is going to be fun. It’s a 70’s and 80’s themed roller skating party at the Lakeside Brooklyn skating rink at LeFrak Center in Prospect Park. Roller skating in Brooklyn is really fun. The party is free. You can rent skates. There is even a lesson for $10. It’s Sunday, June 20 from 3-5pm ET nycdanceweek.org

See you at NYC Dance Week!
