Tango for All
Tango for All is the teaching and performing company of Diego Blanco, originally from Colombia, and Cuban-American Ana Padron.
About Blind
Blind explores the artist’s existential question about whether to blind one’s emotions or surrender to the amazing, but unpredictable possibilities of life.
It’s a question that is asked in every Tango. When two people come together for a dance, they can either cover their natural human emotions with some kind of step logic, or abandon themselves completely to the possibilities of the moment. Artists of all disciplines do this every day.
Blind was created from Diego and Ana’s experience teaching blind children in Miami and from teaching in the St. Louis public school system. It premiered at the St. Louis Spring to Dance Festival in May 2015.
Pedro Giraudo is an Argentine bass player and composer based in New York City.
