Troy Schumacher’s third work for NYCB premiered in Fall 2017. It is set to music by William Walton.
Composer’s Holiday
18 year-old Gianna Reisen became the youngest choreographer of New York City Ballet repertory in Fall 2017. The work is set to music by Lukas Foss.
Spectral Evidence
French choreographer Angelin Preljocaj’s second NYCB commission uses clever scenery and a haunting John Cage score to tell a story based on the Salem witch trials. It premiered in Fall 2013.
Year of the Rabbit
Peck’s second piece for NYCB is based on Peck’s Tales of a Chinese Zodiac (2010). It premiered in Fall 2012 to music by Sufjan Stevens, orchestrated by Michael P. Atkinson.
