Things To Do in NYC in October 2023

Things to do in NYC in October 2023 include the: Panamanian Parade, Hispanic Day Parade, Italian Day Parade, Indigenous Parade, Jackson Heights Halloween Parade, and the Village Halloween Parade.

The October holiday is Indigenous Peoples Day / Italian Heritage Day (formerly Columbus Day, but the man and the colonization he triggered was pure evil).

Latin traditions include Spain’s national day, International Creole Day, St Francis of Assisi, St Jude Thaddeus, and the start of Dia de los Muertos.

October is one of our favorite months because New York’s cultural season is in full swing, the weather is mild, and fall colors appear. Peak color is forecast around October 9-13.
