Things to do in NYC in September 2025 start with the US Open tennis championship, New York Carnival and the West Indian Day Parade over Labor Day Weekend, the popular end of summer. That’s followed by the Armory Week art fairs, New York Fashion Week, NYC Broadway Week, and the Central American Independence Parade.Then comes the African American Day Parade and Hispanic Heritage Month with Mexican Independence Parades. The month ends with the New York Film Festival and NYC Off-Broadway Week.

September is Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15. The odd dates include national days of Central America, Chile, and Spain. Labor Day is a U.S. national holiday. September weather is early fall. Average temperatures range from 60-77 °F / 25-16 °C.
